Lapis heart locket.
Augh @_@ This one was quite difficult, thanks to the lapis stone, which (while making up for all the trouble and its rather ridiculous price-tag with its inherent beauty) was neither a convenient shape, nor a cabochon. The former problem wasn't too bad, countered with judicious hammering of wires. The latter however, required the creation of a more cage-like locket body... it worked out well, but I wouldn't look forward to doing another one of these.
Anyway, look at that heart! It's the nicest lapis heart I've ever had or even seen. I decided, to balance the intense blue of the focal, I had to put in lots of lapis beads into the chain, which refused to not be made (I tried not to. I attempted a pre-made chain, and shot down that idea several inches away from the locket; and I attempted a viking knit chain, which now sits in front of me unused and abandoned.). All in all, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out in the end, however.
