Inspire Me: VI : Fae Dreamerby *AMyriadVice

Artisan Crafts / Jewelry / Necklaces & Pendants

"VI : Fae Dreamer" - Labradorite (hah, yes, I finally succumbed), freshwater pearls, clear quartz, rutile quartz - in silver filled wire (awesome stuff that I've been stocking at Avera.

The sixth piece I made in my Inspire Me contest (now closed to new entries, unfortunately), where participants submit ideas/concepts which I may decide to turn into jewelry (and the three most inspiring concepts will win the jewelry pieces made). Go have a look if you haven't seen it yet! XD

This one was based on the entry by ~lotrsavvy - "something faerie-ish. Like... dew drops that have been turned into "faerie-glass" with nature colors of greens or flowers, etc."

So I took some liberty with it, for sure. I guess lab was it, really, eventually, though I considered a number of other things, none of which took root.

Said to contain the soul of Fae when they dreamed, explaining why the light within is sometimes visible and sometimes now, and changeable in its appearance.

Anyway, to be perfectly honest, while I quite like it as a piece on its own, not too happy as a contest piece. Doesn't feel very much different from

although much is. :/

Lovely piece. Love the lab together with the rutiled quartz. Indeed a Fae inpression. Though the finish if the wire is a little muh... not complete.
Maybe a little polish would spark it up.
